Disclaimer
A starting point, not legal advice. This wording was drafted for an integrative therapy practice; check it reflects your own services before relying on it.
This website is information, not therapy. Reading these pages, however useful, isn't a substitute for working with a qualified professional. Every situation described here plays out differently in a real life.
Therapy is not an emergency service. Messages sent through this site are read within two working days, not within the hour, and a waitlist is no place to wait out a crisis. If you need help now, please use the urgent contacts on the booking page: Samaritans on 116 123, NHS 111 (option 2), or 999 if you or someone else is in immediate danger.
Therapy complements medical care; it doesn't replace it. I don't prescribe, adjust or advise on medication. That conversation belongs with your GP or psychiatrist, and with your consent I'm glad to work alongside them.
No outcome is promised. The evidence for talking therapy is strong, and the anxiety programme is structured precisely so you can see what's changing. But no ethical therapist guarantees a result, and you should be wary of any who does. Client words on this site are shared with permission, anonymised, and describe individual experiences rather than promises.
A note on the sunshine. This site is warm and hopeful because the practice is warm and hopeful. It is still a regulated, supervised, fully insured professional service, and the seriousness of what you're carrying is never in question here.
